Progress and Milestones

It's been an extremely busy six months with the GE Healthcare transition in process. We've made significant progress to align our businesses and expect to finalise the deal in Quarter 3.

Rest assured that we'll keep you informed as this transition impacts you. For your information, on the day of close, our name will change to GE Healthcare – Laboratory Diagnostics . Visitors to abbottdiagnostics.com.au and abbottdiagnostics.co.nz will be redirected to the GE Healthcare website. In the meantime, it's business as usual!

We are proud to announce a significant milestone for Abbott Diagnostics in ANZ. Abbott has been successful in our bid at Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology, the largest laboratory in the SONIC Group. DHM has selected our ARCHITECT integrated ci16200 and c16000 platforms to service their frontline Clinical Chemistry and Immunoassay testing needs. The instruments will be installed in DHM's new, state of the art laboratory, currently under construction at North Ryde and due to open in late 2007.
