X Systems make way for state-of-the-art ARCHITECT systems

To better meet your laboratory requirements for the future, Abbott Diagnostics Australia/New Zealand has made the decision to retire the IMx, TDx and TDxFLx product lines by 31st December 2008.

We are doing this to focus our resources on developing and improving new assays and systems such as our state-of-the-art ARCHITECT family of Clinical Chemistry and Immunoassay systems. This focus will help improve product availability and with the introduction of new assays and systems, will allow us to meet the near and long-term goals of laboratories with varying testing needs.

All TDx, TDxFLx and IMx products and systems will be retired by 31st December 2008, with the exception of Methotrexate and FLM assays.

We recognise the implications for your laboratory and will provide our full support during this time. Alternative product solutions are available and in many cases, test method comparisons are available to assist you with the transition. Your Abbott sales representative can be contacted to assist in developing a specific transition plan for your laboratory, should you require it.
